The Young Democrats of Augusta is an active, aggressive, visible and vocal force in the CSRA. We will continue to fight for the Democratic values that concern young people: a strong economy and job market, educational opportunities, equality for all citizens, free speech and expression, a clean environment and peaceful world, and a women's right to choose.

We have many exciting initiatives and events planned for this year! The Young Democrats of Augusta invites all CSRA Democrats between the ages of 14 and 35 to join us and get involved. Let's make a difference our community!

Goals + Vision

The Young Democrats of Augusta (YDAG) is the official youth arm of the Richmond County Democratic Party. YDAG is a county wide grassroots organization that reaches out to young people in an effort to strengthen our position within the community.. Our membership reflects the broad diversity of our city and the Democratic Party. This includes high school students, college students, young workers, young professionals and young families. All of the members have the interest of their community at heart and work hard to affect the democratic process. YDAG works hard to:

• Elect Democratic Candidates
• Encourage youth involvement in the Democratic Party
• Provide young people with the skills and experiences they will need to lead our nation

Joining YDAG will present you with a unique opportunity to participate in the legislative and campaign process. YDAG serves as a valuable resource tool for our members by offering:

• Grassroots Activist Workshops
• Leadership Development
• State and Local Party Activism
• National Meetings and Events

Young Democrats receive first-hand experience in campaigns and elections, grassroots organizing, fundraising and candidate elective office, just to name a few. Many of the Democratic Party's leaders got their start in politics with the Young Democrats.
